JustBe Black History Month Charity Dinner And Dance
It is our pleasure to invite you to the 8th Annual JustBe Black History Month Charity Dinner and Dance, taking place on Saturday 7 October 2017 at Hilton London, Tower Bridge Hotel, 5 More London Place, Tooley Street, London SE1 2BY, commencing at 6pm. This year we will be celebrating Jamaica’s 55th Year of Independence by honouring Marcus Garvey, Jamaica’s First National Hero and Garvey’s impact on Africa’s Fight for Independence. As always be prepared to spend an enchanted evening in the presence of some of our most notable community members. The evening will be filled with outstanding entertainment, engaging education, special guests, exquisite food, great music, a few surprises and lots of laughs. So ladies and gents, dig out your "dress up" clothes, dancing shoes and get in the celebration groove - you will not be disappointed! JustBe may be an organisation championing women, but we still recognise the importance of the men in our lives - for what is a Queen without a King? Therefore this year we will be supporting the Prostate Cancer UK Charity. Did you know that black men are more likely to contract prostate cancer than any other ethnicity, alarmingly 1 in 4 black men will get prostate cancer. For this reason, we will be raising awareness of this disease and helping the men among us to stay alive and healthy.
