DESCRIPTION:10K SPONSORED FUN WALK\nSaturday 23 September 2023  \nCrystal Palace Park @ 8am \nJustBe4U invites you to their sponsored 10K Fun Walk on Saturday 23 September at Crystal Palace Park! The main aim of the walk is to raise as much money as possible for the group whilst having fun at the same time! \nThe funds raised will support the elderly in our community\, as well as women at risk of loneliness and isolation. We will also focus on those who may be suffering from  mental health issues such as anxiety and depression.  Throughout this year we have been hosting various events which have helped many in our community. Our next event will be a coach trip to Margate for the seniors and a fashion show in September! We want to do so much more and this is where you can help make it happen! \nEvery year JustBe4U supports over 500 members of the African and Caribbean community either on a one-to-one basis or by bringing people together. \nWould you like to help us raise funds on the 23rd but you don’t live in South East London? Ladies\, regardless of where you live\, whether in or outside of London\, you can still take part in our annual sponsored walk! Way before there was Naomi\, there were ‘THE 12’. \n12 super seniors will grace the runway becoming the super models of the day in a fashion show featuring contemporary African attire by Gitas Portal. \nOur theme this year is LEGENDARY.  We honour those who came before to pave the way for us today! Our living legends on whose shoulders we stand. We pay tribute to the incredible hard work\, dedication\, and resilience shown by our very own Windrush Generation celebrities. \nIt’s going to be a fun community event. \n– Yvette McDonald\, CEO of JustBe\, will be speaking about the vision behind this fantastic project. \n– Dr Joan Myers OBE will be our guest speaker. \n– Paulette Tajah will be entertaining you and there’ll be a performance by dance group A Step in Time. \nFirst 25 attendees will receive a free goody bag! There will be giveaways and surprises on the day.
