God has a plan for each and everyone of us.
December is a time when many Christians reflect on the birth of Jesus and the significance of his birth throughout the world today.
Many have been through traumatic experiences this year, whether it be the loss of loved ones and friends or the state of loneliness during the lockdowns or even the loss of a job.
Whatever we have experienced or been through – The best is yet to come – God has a plan for each of us. ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ (Jer. 29:11)
‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. (1 Cor 2:9)
Tuesday 1 December – Hope in Christ Alone (Rom 15:13)
Tuesday 8 December – Seasons (Eccl 3:1-11)

Hi there!
My name is Yvette McDonald and I’m the Founder & CEO of JustBe (www.just-be.co.uk), a women’s group that is inspired by a passion to lift and empower women. We understand with the pressures of life, we give so much to others, but sometimes we forget ourselves.
Gather & Grow is one of the areas that we minister to women who are lonely and/or isolated particularly during this pandemic. We want to be able to connect as a group of women because we want to draw closer to God – TOGETHER. We always seem to pay particular attention to our physical health, but often times we pay far too little attention to our spiritual health.
So, as we’re drawing close to the end of another year, Minister Selina Sharpe has put together a short, three week bible study which we feel will edify, direct and prepare us for the year ahead. This study will look to the promises that we read about in the Word and how we stay rooted in Christ during these uncertain times.
Selina Sharpe M.A., B.Ed., Dip Theo., is a retired Executive Headteacher, who has worked in education for over 30 years. Although Selina has retired from her post as a headteacher, she believes that as a Christian one never retires, but we go from ‘retire-ment’ to ‘repurpose-ment’, where we focus more on serving others; not necessarily for monetary gain. Therefore, she now spends her time now as an Educational Consultant, a teacher of Education Studies, a School Governor, a Street Pastor, Secretary of Southwark Street Pastors, an Appropriate Adult for Sutton Council and a director of an advocacy company.
Selina has been a member of her current church for the past 25 years and is a lay minister. She is studying at present for her ‘Masters’ degree at Spurgeon’s College. Selina has used her teaching gifts within the church setting for many years, teaching in children’s church, home groups and various bible study groups.
A favourite scripture for Selina is 2nd Timothy 2:15 ‘Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth’.
