What a summer we have been having with such beautiful sunshine. Such glorious weather! For some it is too hot, for others it is just right. For me I love the sun and wish it could stay!
However, I know that this is not realistic as my garden is crying out for rain (although I water it every day). It needs proper watering that only good rainfall can give.
We have seen the news and parts of the country is so dry that nature is being affected in a worrying way. Because of no rain and everything on land being scored and dry.
Trees century year old is withering and will die…if rain does not come! We have fires all over the world and in the UK, we are hearing of the loss of young lives sadly by drowning.
I know without a doubt as my experience of life tells me that after such heat and dryness, rainfall is bound to come! Low and behold Listening to the forecast this morning not only rain is coming tornedos and hurricane weather.
In the Old Testament the book of Ecclesiastes points out that to everything there is a season. Chapter 3:1 reads:
To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. No matter what you are going through in a particular season know that not one detail or second of your life is without purpose.
“Season” figuratively expresses the changing stages of our lives as the way of life as we know it according to how God has arranged them. Seasons have their beginnings and endings and are all to be lived out. We should expect this cycle.
What season are you in now? We need to see our present season as a time of transition with a new era of being settled to follow soon enough.
The clearest sky will be clouded, then the most clouded sky will suddenly clear up and the sun always burst from behind that cloud!
Whatever time it is for you, your sunshine is coming, and God will take you through every season of your life. Your season is not someone else’s to live. Be assured that whatever the season you find yourself in embrace it knowing you will come through the other side.
